Subjects

PROARQ courses are held Monday to Thursday during daytime hours. Exceptionally, some courses may also be available on Fridays. Academic Master's students must complete a total of 360 hours of coursework, including required courses — such as Research Methodology — and elective courses, in accordance with the program regulations.

ELECTIVE COURSES

Master’s students may take up to 90 hours of elective courses outside of PROARQ.

Special Topics in Architecture I - 15h/1 credit
Special Topics in Architecture II - 45h/3 credits
Special Topics in Architecture III - 45h/3 credits
Supervised Internship - 45h/3 credits

Research Methodology
Study of science and specific knowledge, with an emphasis on the scientific method and fundamental research concepts. Examination of key investigative techniques and their applications in the field of Architecture. Discussion of guidelines for developing research proposals, as well as the process of scientific communication and academic writing. Guidance focused on structuring the dissertation project.
(45h / 3 credits).
FAT 708

Dissertation Research
This course does not have a predefined workload and involves supervision between the advisor and student for dissertation guidance. (No credit hours).
FAP 717

Supervised Internship
Supervised internship in an undergraduate Architecture and Urbanism course, related to the student's area of concentration and research topic developed in the dissertation.
