Subjects

PROARQ offers its courses from Monday to Thursday, during the daytime. Exceptionally, some courses may also be offered on Fridays. The student must complete 360 classroom hours, including mandatory courses (Research Methodology), electives, and supervised internship. Master's students are allowed to take up to 90 hours in elective courses outside PROARQ.

Dissertation Research
Course without workload, credits, or need for physical presence in the classroom. Involves the advisor and the student in the development of the qualification exam and the defense. The grade must be updated quarterly by the advisor.

After qualification, the student must enroll in the course each term or whenever there are no other courses to be taken during the term.
FAP705
Research Methodology
Preparation and development of research projects with the support of a team of professors. Formatting, writing, and organization of academic work according to ABNT standards. (45h / 3 credits).

FAP717

Supervised Internship
Must be carried out through tutoring in an undergraduate course at UFRJ taught by the advisor or, with their approval, in another course. The internship is mandatory for scholarship holders and elective for non-scholarship holders. (45h / 3 credits).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • For students enrolled in the master's program, the Research Methodology course is mandatory. For doctoral students, it is not.
  • Courses with code 700 are master's level, and those with code 800 are doctoral level.
