The PROARQ will offer mandatory and elective courses on a quarterly basis. Doctoral students are required to completea minimun of 450 (four hundred and fifty) class hours, with the possibility of transferring up to 135 hours from their completed Master's Program.
DEADLINES FOR THE DEFENSE
ENROLLMENT UNTIL 2022
- Qualification: The Qualification Exam for the Doctoral Program must be completed within a period not exceeding 30 (thirty) months from the date of enrollment.
- Defense: The regular timeframe for the defense is up 48 months from the enrollment date in the Doctoral Program. Extensions beyond the regular period will be allowed upon submission of official documentation wuth a justified request by the advisor and the student, for a restricted period of up to 12 (twelve) months after the regulatory deadline.

EXTENSIONS - PANDEMIC (COVID-2019)
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, defense deadlines for Doctoral cohorts from 2018, 2019, 2019.2, 2020, and 2021 were granted suspension of deadline counts, as regulated and instructed by RESOLUTION CEPG 06/2021. Scholarship recipients must remain attentive to completing defenses within the regular deadlines.

ADVISORS AND CO-ADVISORS
The academic advisor must be a member of the Permanent Faculty or Collaborating Professors of PROARQ program.
In agreement with the advisor and subject to approval by the Program's Deliberative Committee, the supervision may be shared with Doctoral professors from other programs or institutions. This follows the revisions approved in the 2022 PROARQ Regulations, provided the criteria align with the student's research requirements.
