Associate Professor at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), affiliated with the Department of Architectural Design. Faculty member of the Graduate Program in Architecture and the Graduate Program in Design and Heritage. Holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Instituto Metodista Bennett (1981), a Master's degree in Urban Planning with a concentration in Urban Design from the University of Michigan (1983), and a Ph.D. in Architecture and Urbanism from the Universidade of São Paulo (2000). Has experience in the field of Architecture and Urbanism, with an emphasis on Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. Her main research topics include landscape, urban morphology, and urban design. Coordinates the research projects Landscape Architecture and Urban Open Space Systems in Rio de Janeiro, linked to the CNPq Research Group Quality of Place and Landscape, where she serves as vice-leader. She is also a member of the CNPq Research Group Architecture Teaching and the National Network QUAPA-SEL. Additionally, she is an associate of the Center for Sustainable Urban Development (CSUD) at Columbia University. Previously served as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Architecture (PROARQ-UFRJ) (2010-2011 and 2012-2013), Coordinator of the Professional Master’s Program in Design and Heritage (MPPP) (2017-2019), and Deputy Coordinator of the same program at UFRJ (2020-2022). Holds a CNPq Productivity Fellowship (Level 2) and is recognized as a Scientist of Our State (CNE) by FAPERJ.
