Civil Engineer (1995) from the Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos (EESC) at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), with a Master’s (1998) and Ph.D. (2004) in Structural Engineering also from EESC-USP. She was the Coordinator and Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Structural Engineering at the Paulista Foundation for Technology and Education (UNILINS) for 10 years. She also coordinated the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program at the Centro Universitário Central Paulista (Unicep), where she taught in both Engineering and Architecture programs. She has experience in the development of structural projects in reinforced concrete, steel, and structural masonry. Currently, she is a Professor in the Department of Construction Technology at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of UFRJ (FAU-UFRJ) and a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Architecture (PROARQ-UFRJ). She is co-leader of LabHab and focuses her research on Construction Processes in Popular Territories.
