Project management in architecture and construction: digital technologies, sustainability and professional training

Description: The present research aims to present changes in the design and execution process of works through the inclusion of new strategies made possible by digital technologies with an emphasis on the BIM Platform (Building Information Modeling). Such technologies involve procedures that go beyond the simple mastery of computational techniques but depend on skills to be developed during professional training, related to the ability to work collaboratively to develop integrated projects. The emphasis of the research accompanies the movement led by the Federal Government through the Strategic Committee for the Implementation of BIM, (CE-BIM initiative of the MDIC) whose ultimate goal is the modernization of the sector through the alignment of initiatives around the dissemination of the proposed innovative practices by digital technologies.
