13th PROARQ RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM – EXPERIENCES AND PRACTICES IN ARCHITECTURE RESEARCH

Since 2009, we have been holding the annual meetings entitled PROARQ RESEARCH COLLOQUIUMS, and all of them have shown us that the practice of sharing and building research is an essential act for the success of epistemological leaps and for a consistent practice. In this sense, the 13th Colloquium was another opportunity for us to meet, this time in physical spaces, also to grow and dedicate time to the fruition of our experiences, dialogues, ideas, and possibilities of working scientifically for the growth of society.

The program of the 13th PROARQ Research Colloquium – EXPERIENCES AND PRACTICES in Architecture Research was designed, similarly to the remote editions of 2020 and 2021, as a continuous and well-coordinated action, aiming to generate greater engagement from the social body (within PROARQ) and to allow access to the external public. Thus, the first in-person meetings, open to the public, took place every Monday from August 29 to October 3, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, with Thematic Sessions led by 3 research groups from PROARQ on each Monday, one of which was organized by the Professional Master's course in Project and Heritage at UFRJ.

The Scientific Sessions took place between October 10 and 13, from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM, closing the cycle of the 13th Colloquium, and were aimed at disseminating ongoing or already completed research by students, alumni, undergraduate research students, and researchers from PROARQ, fostering the recognition of our current scenario, accumulated experiences, and self-assessment of the Program. On October 14, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, the Closing Session took place, with the Lecture that concluded the event.
