Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Ceará (1994). Specialist in Structural Design from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC, 1997). Holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from PROARQ/FAU/UFRJ (2000), with an emphasis on Construction Rationalization. Specialist in Urban Sustainability from Universidad Autónoma Chapingo, Mexico (2001). Earned a Ph.D. in Energy Planning from PPE/COPPE/UFRJ (2008). Researcher at the International Virtual Institute on Global Changes (IVIG/COPPE/UFRJ) since 2001. Served as Adjunct Professor in the Architecture and Urbanism program at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro from 2009 until February 2012. Since then, has been an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Held the position of Associate Director of Outreach at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at UFRJ from January 2014 to January 2018 and served as Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies from January 2020 to January 2022. Her main areas of expertise include technology, eco-construction, low-energy-intensive materials, green roofs (naturação), environment, energy efficiency, environmental comfort, urban and building sustainability, evaluation of football stadiums, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and climate change.
