Architect (1985) by the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at UFRJ,  Master (1997) by PROARQ-FAU / UFRJ, in the area of ​​Environmental Comfort concentration. PhD (2006) by the Graduate Program of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo, Department of History of Architecture and Aesthetics of the Project. Did you take specialization courses in the preservation of modern architecture at ICCROM? International Center for Study of Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (1999) and preventive conservation at the Center for Sustainable Heritage? University College London (2003). He is a senior technologist at Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa and currently coordinates the Architectural Preservation Center, at the Center for Memory and Information. He is the leader of the research group on the Preventive Conservation of Historic Buildings and Sites (CNPQ FCRB). Teacher of the Professional Master's Courses in Memory and Collection (PPGMA-FCRB), Preservation of S&T Collections (PPACT-MAST) and Project and Heritage (MMPP-PROARQ / FAU-UFRJ). Professional activities related to preventive conservation, environmental control for the preservation of collections, house museums, preservation of the built heritage and preservation of modern architecture. He is an associate member of ICOMOS-BRASIL.
