Professional Master Degree Dissertation
An essential part in the history and development of Magé/RJ first district, the former MagepeMirim Colonial Farm is in a ruined state, like many of the other architectural assets not preserved by governmental spheres. Dating back to the beginning of the 18th century, its headquarters building resists as a typological exemplar of rural constructions from the colonial period. The present dissertation seeks, through historical research and production of an architectural file, the insertion of a new use appropriate to its structure after a restoration process that values its main physical and historical characteristics, aiming that it can be reinserted in the daily life of the local population and preserved.
