Coordinated by professor Leopoldo Bastos and prof. Aline Calazans. This project aims to develop and improve instruments to aid the design of the built environment, based on the principles of sustainability. The description and organization of the problem are considered, in addition to the development and improvement of decision support instruments, based on methodologies of a multicriteria approach. These instruments can be simplified tools (matrices, intelligent rules) or computational tools (simulators). To this end, emphasis will be placed on methodologies: ELECTRE (decision aid based on intelligent rules, obtained by computer simulation, and underweighting criteria); and ADDENDA-HQE (setting of criteria for decision and elaboration of relational matrices of the building with the questions of sustainability: energetic-environmental, socio-cultural, and economic. These instruments of assistance to the project will be aimed at different applicability in a tropical climatic situation: evaluation of existing buildings (for rehabilitation or conversion of use), aid to architectural design, an examination of the potential service to the sustainability of architectural projects submitted to tenders and didactic purposes.
