PROARQ Professor Invited by Politecnico di Milano for Teaching and Research Mission
Professor Lucas Caldas, a permanent faculty member of PROARQ, is carrying out a mission as a visiting professor at Politecnico di Milano at the invitation of Professor Francesco Pittau, from the Department of Architecture, Construction and Engineering. He is contributing to the course “Methods and Tools for the Sustainable Development of the Built Environment” and conducting related research.
The Politecnico di Milano is one of the leading Italian and European centers for teaching and research in the fields of technology, architecture, and construction. This opportunity results from a partnership of more than six years between the two professors. The work being developed in Italy is directly connected to the research conducted by Professor Lucas at PROARQ.
Professor Caldas is a FAPERJ “Young Scientist of Our State” fellow and holds a CNPq Productivity Grant – Level 1C. He was also awarded funding through the CNPq Universal Call. His research mainly focuses on digitalization, new technologies and sustainability assessment methodologies, circularity in architecture, development of new materials, and the design and construction of low-carbon buildings and cities.
PROARQ congratulates the professor, once again demonstrating the excellence and international reach of its faculty.
