9th International Seminar on Museography and Museum Architecture: Origins and Transculturalities

PROARQ presents the 9th International Seminar on Museography and Museum Architecture: Origins and Transculturalities. The event invites professors, researchers, graduate students, and professionals in the fields of architecture, museology, history, art, and heritage to reflect on the multiple dimensions of museums: their buildings, objects, documents, and museological processes — all through the lens of identity and memory, in both tangible and intangible forms. The two-day seminar will take place in person and will include lectures, roundtables, workshops, poster exhibitions, and paper presentation sessions. All activities will be recorded and later published in digital media.
Dates and locations:
November 5, 2025 – Petrópolis, UERJ (Ipiranga Campus)
November 6, 2025 – Rio de Janeiro, PROARQ/FAU/UFRJ, Room 445 (Ilha do Fundão)
The call for papers and registration are open until September 10, 2025, which is also the deadline for submitting full articles and posters. Submissions must be sent to: seminarioarquimuseus2025@gmail.com
