Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He was Director of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at FAU / UFRJ in the 2014-2018 period. He has experience in the area of Architecture and Urbanism, working mainly on social housing projects, health environment projects and assessment of the built environment. He is the Coordinator of the Specialization Course in Architecture of Health Environments, Coordinator of the Laboratory of Habitation_LabHab and of the project and research group Espaço Saúde. He holds a doctorate in Architecture - Universitat Hannover (1995), a Masters in Architecture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1990), graduated in Architecture from the Methodist Bennett Institute (1979).
