Civil, Environmental and Sanitary Engineer. Specialist in Diagnostic Engineering and Construction Pathology. Doctor in Civil Engineering (COPPE / UFRJ). Currently, he is Adjunct Professor A at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU UFRJ), in the Department of Structures. Develops research in the areas of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Performance Assessment of Building Systems and Buildings, Sustainable Materials, Sustainable Building Project Management, Building Energy Efficiency, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Circular Economy, Buildings and Smart Cities. He is currently one of the contributing authors (CA) of Chapter 9 (Buildings) of the Sixth Report (AR6) of the IPCC. He participates as a researcher in thematic studies of the Brazilian Panel on Climate Change (PBMC). Participates in research and cooperation groups with the Center for Teaching and Research in Materials and Technologies of Low Environmental Impact in Sustainable Construction (NUMATS / COPPE / UFRJ), Federal University of Goiás (UFG), University of Brasília (UnB) and University ETH -Zurich (Switzerland). Project consultant for certification of sustainable buildings EDGE Buildings of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He is a reviewer and author of articles published in the annals of national and international scientific journals and events in the areas of Architecture, Civil Construction and Sustainability. PROARQ Collaborator Professor (since nov/2021).
