Professora Emérita da UFRJ, tendo se aposentado como Professora Titular. Professora colaboradora do PROARQ e Professora Permanente do PGPP. Foi Coordenadora do Programa de Pós Graduação em Arquitetura - PROARQ FAU-UFRJ ( 2014 - 2015). Diretora da FAU-UFRJ (1998-2002), Prefeita da UFRJ (2002 - 2004), Diretora do Escritório Técnico da UFRJ (2002 - 2007).Graduada pela FAU-UFRJ (1972), Mestre em Educação pela FE-UFRJ (1983) e Doutora (2002) em Engenharia (Pesq. Operacional e Gerencia de Produção) pela COPPE - UFRJ. Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa "A Educação do Olhar", atuando principalmente na renovação didática do curso de arquitetura; na reformulação do ensino gráfico face às novas tecnologias; na busca de métodos de compreensão, análise, representação e geração da forma arquitetônica. Atua em planos e projetos de melhoria do ambiente, natural e construído; na requalificação de espaços urbanos.

Professor Emeritus of UFRJ, retired as Full Professor. Member of the PROARQ collaborative faculty. Professor of PGPP/UFRJ. She was Head of the Graduate Program in Architecture - PROARQ FAU-UFRJ (2014-2015). Director of FAU-UFRJ (1998-2002), Mayor of UFRJ (2002 - 2004), Director of the Technical Office of UFRJ (2002 - 2007). Graduated by FAU-UFRJ (1972), Master in Education by FE-UFRJ (1983 ) and PhD (2002) in Engineering (Operational Research and Production Management) by COPPE - UFRJ. Leader of the Research Group on Architecture Education, develops the research A Educação do Olhar: Education of geometric shapes of places, acting mainly in the didactic renovation of the architecture course; in the reformulation of graphic education in the face of new technologies; in the search for methods of understanding, analyzing, representing and generating the architectural form. Works on plans and projects to improve the environment, both natural and built; in the requalification of urban spaces.
